A new feature in Whatsapp platform that allows users to exchange voice notes as status updates has begun to be rolled out for the Android beta testers. According to a feature tracker, the feature lets you share voice status updates with a certain audience.
For Android beta testers, the feature is available in the text status section and set video, photo, and text updates will disappear after 24 hours. The maximum recording time for a voice status update is 30 seconds. Voice notes are also protected by end-to-end encryption (E2EE). Users can choose who can see their status via privacy settings option.

The platform is also working on a feature to better deal with the spam messages. The new feature that will allow users to block people from their contact list from the notification bar. Users will be able to block unfamiliar and unreliable contacts without having to open the chat.
