Nvidia Rolls-out Suite of Software Tools for Monitoring of AI Chatbots Unwanted Responses

NVIDIA

Nvidia, a leading provider of chips and computing systems for artificial intelligence, introduced a suite of software tools on Tuesday that assists in monitoring the chatbots speech.

Despite the fact that Nvidia’s chips have enabled companies to add human-like chat features into their products like Microsoft search engine Bing, chatbots can still be erratic and say things that their developers doesn’t. Nvidia’s free software tools are designed to help companies protect themselves from unwanted chatbot responses like mentioning of products from their competitors.

The Nvidia tools are also geared towards helping AI system creators implement crucial safety measures, such as preventing chatbots from providing users with potentially dangerous information, such as treatment of a live threatening disease.

The company’s objective, as stated by Jonathan Cohen, Nvidia’s vice president of applied research, is to provide tools for implementing standards into software code, whether through industry consensus or regulation.

He added: It is very difficult to talk about standards without a way to put them in practice. But If standards do come into existence, there will be a good place where they can be placed.
