iPhone 14 Series Becomes more Popular than its Predecessor iPhone 13

iOS

The iPhone 14 series, which was launched in September 2022, has been highly favored by consumers and it is believed to be more popular than the iPhone 13 series that was launched in the previous year.
Despite using the same chipsets, the iPhone 14 models outperform its predecessors in terms of performance when compared.

An exclusive new color option was introduced by both lineups in the subsequent year of their releases. The iPhone 13 Mini was released in green in March 2022, and the iPhone 14 Plus model was launched in yellow earlier this month.

Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) has reported a 2 percent increase in display orders year on year as of April 2018, indicating that the iPhone 14 lineup is relatively more popular than its predecessor and revenue from this year’s lineup is likely to increase as Apple sells more high-end models at the expense of cheaper models. Sales of the regular model have decreased by 36 percent, while sales of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have increased by 22 percent and 23 percent, respectively.

The vanilla iPhone 14 model’s superior performance is due to its lower vulnerability to thermal throttling. An internal readjustment process has enabled the standard iPhone 14 models to outperform the iPhone 13 Pro models in terms of consistency despite having the same chip. The design of the iPhone 14 was significantly altered to incorporate a central aluminum structure that functions as a central structural plane, which promotes constant heat dissipation throughout the entire surface.
