Chromebooks will soon receive the stable version of Google ChromeOS. New features in the latest stable channel update include Google’s Fast Pair support for compatible Bluetooth accessories.
The new update will make it easier to pair the devices using Fast Pair-enabled between the supported platforms that share the same account. The update will soon be a globally available version in the coming days.
Presently, Fast Pair is only with Bluetooth audio devices on Chromebooks. To use the Fast Pair functionality on Chromebooks, users must first switch on Bluetooth and connect the Fast Pair-enabled device, such as Pixel Buds.
Users will have to click Connect if the device is new to the Chromebook. If the device has previously been linked to the Chromebook, it will be instantly connected using Fast Pair.
