FIFA Launches Probe into Nusret Gökçe Nicknamed Salt Bae’s Pitch Invasions

An investigation has been launched by FIFA for the matter in which, Nusret Gökçe nicknamed Salt Bae, a celebrity chef, and others were allowed to pitch at the end of the World Cup final in Qatar. Some pictures of the Turkish chef, Nusret Gökçe, holding the World Cup trophy and celebrating with Argentine players went viral on social media.

According to the Rules of FIFA only a hand full of peoples, including World Cup winners, officials, and heads of state are allowed to hold the trophy.

The FIFA official said that the federation will probe the matter that how an individual got into the pitch after the closing ceremony, breaching all the barriers and those involved in assisting the celebrity chef in gaining access to the pitch at Lusail stadium will face severe consequences.

Salt Bae, the owner of a chain of luxury steakhouses, became famous after his method of preparing and seasoning meat became an internet meme. Many of the world’s best athletes, including Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham have eaten at Salt Bae’s restaurants.

During the World Cup, Nusret Gokce posted a video on his social media, where he could be seen embracing FIFA President, Gianni Infantino.
