Tongyi Qianwen, an AI large language model resembling GPT, was announced by Alibaba Group Holding on Tuesday, with the aim of incorporating it into all of the company’s business applications in the near future.
Alibaba’s workplace messaging app, DingTalk, and voice assistant, Tmall Genie will initially incorporate it, which can be used to organize meeting notes, write emails, and create business proposals.
According to a statement from CEO Daniel Zhang, “We are currently experiencing a technological watershed fueled by generative AI and cloud computing, which has prompted businesses to embrace intelligence transformation to stay ahead of the curve.”
Alibaba Cloud intends to make Tongyi Qianwen available to its clients, enabling them to develop customized large language models.
Tongyi Qianwen is built on Tongyi, Alibaba’s proprietary pre-trained model framework that integrates multiple AI models.
