The Redmi Note 12 Turbo has been launched in China. The Redmi Note 12 series, which includes the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, and the Redmi Note 12 4G, was recently launched globally by the company. The Redmi Note 12S and Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G handsets are expected to be included in the upcoming expansion of the series.
In China, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo has four storage options available – the 8GB + 256GB version is priced at CNY 1,999, the 12GB+ 256GB model is available for CNY 2,199, the 12GB + 512GB is on sale for CNY 2,399, and the 16GB + 1TB storage model is on offer for CNY 2,799.
The Redmi’s Note 12 Turbo color options include Xinghai Blue, Carbon Black, and Ice Feather White (translated) and is also available in a special Harry Potter Edition. The special edition model comes with a customized back cover, a custom card pin, and stickers, while the back of the device showcases the ‘Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’ logo, Guardian deity “Stag” drawing, and an engraving of the Harry Potter logo. The rear camera slots bear a striking resemblance to Harry’s iconic glasses and lightning scars.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo supports dual nano SIMs, boasts a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is equipped with Android 13-based MIUI 14 OS and powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. The device is equipped with an Adreno GPU, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB UFS 3.1 storage, which can be expanded by a microSD card. It features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC connectivity a USB Type-C port for charging and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The camera system is composed of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. A 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls is housed in a centered hole-punch cutout at the top of the display.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo device features a 5,000mAh battery with a 67W fast charging capability.
