The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 was unveiled at the company’s second Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday. The smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy processor, a top-of-the-line processor, and features a 7.6-inch AMOLED inner display and a 6.2-inch cover screen, both of which have refresh rate up to 120Hz. Samsung’s Flex Hinge, a dual rail structure that aims to reduce external impact, is the basis for the foldable smartphone, according to the company.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available for purchase at a starting price of $1,799. It comes with a base configuration of 12GB + 256GB, as well as 512GB and 1TB storage options. The new model will come in three color variants: Cream, Icy Blue, and Phantom, Black.
The Samsung.com website will only offer Blue and Gray colorways for the handsets, while some markets have already pre-ordered the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The smartphone will be available on sale from August 11.
