According to a report, Apple is planning to bring new health features to the AirPods product line. The ability to get hearing data of some sort is likely to be added to the AirPods, according to Mark Gurman.

While Apple is yet to share any details about its plans to launch new health-focused features for the AirPods but the previous reports have suggested that the firm is also working on a new version of its AirPods that will compete with less expensive wireless earbuds.

According to Gurman, the feature is likely to arrive in the next couple of years. Apple is working on more hearing-related features like Live Listen and Conversation Boost that are available on the AirPods Pro models but these features have not been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

The company was working on health monitoring sensors for future models, according to an older report. Through skin contact and built-in motion sensors, the feature would help measure temperature, heart rate, perspiration levels, and more.

Reports also suggest that Apple is working on a new generation of AirPod Lite to compete with more affordable earphones.
